COMPOSITION OF THE ACADEMY
The Composition of the Academy as laid down in the Iqbal Academy Ordinance 1962 as follows:

1. The patron-in-chief; (The President of Pakistan stall be the patron-in-Chief of the Academy under Section-8 of the Iqbal Academy Ordinance)
2. Patrons;
3. the President;
4. the Vice President (The Vice-President of the Academy is nominated by the central Government for a period of three years under Section-11)
5. Honorary members;
6. Life Members; and
7. Members

1. the President who shall also be the Chairman of the Governing Body;
2. the Vice President;
3. the Treasurer,
4. the Director, Central Institute of Islamic Research, Islamabad;
5. two persons elected from amongst the life members or members;
6. one representative of the Ministry; and
7. five other persons to be nominated by Central Government.

   • Mr. Ghulam Rabbani Agro (Member- Sindh - deceased – vacancy)
   • Prof. Dr. Fateh Muhammad Malik (Member- Punjab)
   • Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir (Member- Bluchistan)
   • Secretary (Govt. of Pakistan, Ministry of Culture, Islamabad. Member)
   • Dr. Zafar Ishaq Ansari (DG IRI, Member)
   • Dr. Muin ud Din Aqil (Member- Elected)
   • Dr. Rafi ud Din Hashmi (Member- Elected)
   • Mr. Muhammad Suheyl Umar (Director/Secretary)
   
   

1. the Vice-President;
2. the representative of the Ministry on the Governing Body;
3. the Treasurer; and
4. two other persons appointed by the Governing Body from amongst its members
5. The Director of the Academy acts as Secretary of the Executive Committee.
