IQBAL ACADEMY PAKISTAN Government of Pakistan Ministry of Culture EXPRESSION OF INTERESTProviding Services for Electronic/Multimedia Content Development under Tender Enquiry No. 15 of 2009 INTRODUCTION Iqbal Academy Pakistan is a statutory body of the Government of Pakistan, established through the Iqbal Academy Ordinance No. XXVI of 1962 and a Centre of Excellence for Iqbal Studies. The aims and objectives of the Academy are to promote and disseminate the study and understanding of the works and teachings of Allama Muhammad Iqbal. Iqbal Academy Pakistan (IAP) strives for research and promotion of thought and philosophy of Allama Muhammad Iqbal, develop innovative material for introducing Iqbal in Children and Youth and also focuses on Character Education in Children. S C O P E O F T H E J O B Advent of Modern communication means have reduced use of Urdu as mode of communication. Youth is gradually drifting and fast loosing the capability to converse in national language. There is dire need to introduce ICT in learning and teaching of Urdu for the purpose of ease in the teachings and works of Allama Iqbal. IAP has undertaken a project for development of contents for teaching of Urdu to the students of various classes. 1. Oxford University Press 2. Provincial Text Book Board 3. Association for Academic Quality (AFAQ) 4. Paramount Publishers Content for each class must cater for more than one syllabus. Content should be interesting and require active input from user. Content so developed must have no of different activities, games, moral message, work sheet etc. Interested Organization should forward profile along with an expression of interest outlining details of financial estimates adequate workforce and prospective plans for undertaking of the Urdu Learning Software Project “MUALIM”. Proposal must include: -
a. Suggested Content b. Learning Objective c. Methodologies / Presentation d. Cost Effect e. Profile of organization
IAP can engage more than one organization for development of “MUALIM”. IAP reserves the right to accept or reject any proposal (or any part of it) without assigning any reason. Sealed Proposal along financial effects and profile of organization must reach to address mentioned below till November 3, 2009. If anything in the proposal or content developed thereafter is found as plagiarism at any stage, the bidder/awardee shall be blacklisted in the Government Organizations, and will have to return the entire money spent by the IAP on the project. In such a case, the IAP also reserves the right to prosecute the bidder/awardee under the laws of the land.
